The San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility has 67,000 linear feet of wastewater process piping, much of which has remained in service continuously without interruption. This presentation overviews how Black & Veatch and the City of San Jose developed a risk-based prioritization along with guidelines for conducting the condition assessments.
Learning Objectives:
Benefits of adopted condition assessment protocols for prioritization and design
Benefits of a pipe specific inspection approach – various materials of construction and ranging in diameter up to 144 inches
Lessons learned from operational/shutdown conditions
