My name is Don B.Wasko, I am a Utilities Manager with the City of Carlsbad. I am a Grade 4 in CWEA Collections. I am a Past President for our San Diego Section. I have presented at several CWEA conferences. I hold Water Distribution Grade 5 and Water Treatment Grade 2. My career started at the City of San Diego in 1981 where I worked my way through the ranks to Water Utility Supervisor handling a variey of work in the water and wastewater fields. In 1990 I moved to Vista Irrigation District as a Construction Supervisor where we worked on emergencies and new pipeline installations. In 1997 I was selcted to be the Construction/Maintenance Supervisor dealing with everything in the potable, wastewater and recycled water systems for installation/maintenance and repairs. In the mid-2000's I was promoted to Utilities Manager managing the wastewater system. In 2017 I took over the safety program and special projects.
