Our traditional water supplies are under on-going pressure from droughts and population growth. To relieve some of this pressure, many municipalities are turning to potable reuse to provide a local and sustainable water source. One option for potable reuse is direct potable reuse (DPR) that forgoes an environmental buffer and therefore carries a potential higher risk to public health and requires increased protection strategies.
This workshop will provide an overview of potable reuse regulations, discuss a hypothetical DPR treatment train, and delve into five unit processes including ozone, biological activated carbon, membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, and ultraviolet light advanced oxidation process.
Register soon, this workshop has an attendance cap for the benefit of all participants. Includes lunch.
Attending multiple classes, such as this one, can help Grade III water and wastewater operators prepare for the Advanced Water Treatment Operator (AWTO™) certification exam. Visit www.awtoperator.org to learn more
