Agencies throughout California are starting to implement solutions to address more stringent air emissions requirements and while also increasing energy efficiency. This session focuses on guiding the participants through a demonstrated approach from alternatives evaluation, conceptual and detailed design, and startup/optimization to address regulatory requirements while reducing energy demands.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand and be able to successfully navigate addressing air emission requirements such as Rule 118.1 and 1110.2
  • Describe the key elements of turbo blower technology selection, design and successful implementation
  • Define the key components of ABAC, why/how to implement and the potential benefits to the WRRF in terms of process control and energy savings
  • Understand the requirements for implementing and permitting new LE and ULE flares
  • List the key design/operational advantages of membrane gas holders and what situations they might be most applicable.
